Angel Zampogna for Monaca Tax Collector -- polls open Tuesday, May 20th @ 7am -- PLEASE VOTE!!
Many of you may have come to recognize me as "The Park Lady". I have devoted much of my adult life in service to the community ... both as a volunteer doing work in and around Monaca, and more recently as a borough employee serving as Park Manager.
You can learn a little bit more about me and see some of my work, below ...
Angel began with the borough by volunteering with the "Happy Weeders" in 2012, then was hired in 2017 to maintain the flower beds along Pennsylvania Avenue, as well as to ensure the cleanliness of the surrounding landscape by removing any debris/garbage. She has become primarily responsible for upkeep at the popular John Antoline Memorial Park, while continuing to volunteer a portion of her time throughout the year.
Her commitment to the beauty of our parks and streets is on display every Spring, Summer, and Fall. Angel decorates the downtown area for FallFest with pumpkins and seasonal items. Additionally, every year for the last several years, she has cleaned the grounds and planted flowers at the Veterans Memorial Park in preparation for our local Memorial Day Parade and ceremonies.
Her work is recognized by the Monaca Community Development Corporation and has been prominently featured on both their website and social media pages.
Angel had her early education at St John's School, and is a 1991 graduate of Monaca High School. She went on to attend Penn State where she took relevant coursework in Accounting, Statistics, Sociology/Criminology, and Psychology.
Angel is ready to take the next step in her continuing public service journey, as Monaca Tax Collector, a position which fits her proven reliability, honesty, and work ethic.
If elected, Angel plans to continue volunteering. Working nearby the borough building, she can remain readily available to better serve residents. Saving money for the community is an additional benefit of her volunteer efforts.
Angel is consistently reliable: she makes herself available to the borough seven days per week, and has never missed a scheduled day of work throughout her nine seasons of employment serving the borough.
Angel is conscientious: she takes the little things seriously.
Angel is personable: she is a patient listener and a clear communicator.
Angel CARES about Monaca!
